How quickly the year has gone by! I can’t believe I’m already writing about all the fab events we have in store for you this Christmas but here goes…
Pensioners Party – Tuesday 5th December, 2pm-5pm
We start our seasonal festivities off wth our Pensioners Christmas party. This is a ticketed event and due to it’s popularity all of the tickets have now gone but we’re sure that those who do make it will have a fantastic afternoon of fun and cheer. Special thanks to Tony Morris for organising it, Tesco’s for supplying the buffet and Oldfield Pre-School for bringing the little ones to sing Christmas carols.
Small Christmas Market and Car Boot – Saturday 9th December, 12pm-3pm
If you still need to pick up a few pressies then why not head over to the Centurion on Saturday 9th for our mini Christmas market and Car Boot sale which was a huge hit last year. With plenty on offer, this is a great opportunity to browse and shop without having to battles the masses in town!
Christmas Raffle and Carol Singing – Friday 15th December, from 7pm
Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la la la la! It’s Carol Singing time in Vicars Cross courtesy of the good folks at the United Reform Church so head along and enjoy the music around the Church Christmas tree, with soup inside afterwards before everybody heads to the pub for some much deserved mulled wine followed by the annual Christmas Raffle. Raffle tickets will be available in the pub in advance and there will be some cracking prizes to be won on the night.
Kids Christmas Party – Saturday 16th December, 3pm-5pm
Our fantastic Kids Christmas Party will take place on Saturday 16th and with Father Christmas making an appearance lets hope that all your little ones have been nice and not naughty this year! With a disco and plenty of fun and games, this family event is not to be missed.
Mince Pies and Mulled wine – Christmas Eve, 24th December, 8pm til late
Sit back and relax this Christmas Eve with some well earned minced pies and mulled wine at The Cenny. It’s always a busy day for families in the pub so we hope to see you all there before Santa makes his rounds later on that night.
Christmas Day – Opening 11-4pm for all
If you need a pint to wash down the Christmas turkey then you’ll be delighted to know that the Cenny is open from 11am-4pm on Christmas Day. If you want to venture out later in the evening then there will be a cover charge of £5 – you will need a ticket so please Sandra at the bar for one.
Cabaret Singer – Friday 29th December, 8pm
Before we ring in the New Year we have another live musical act for you to all enjoy so come along on Friday 29th December where the session begins at 8pm!
New Years Eve Fancy Dress – Sunday 31st December, 8pm til Late
With cash prizes on offer for the best fancy dress, it’s time to ring in a brand new year as we say goodbye to 2017 and hello to 2018!
